The Book Engine

Privacy policy

Last updated September 2026

The Book Engine is operated by Kate Marshall. This policy describes what we do with your manuscript and your personal information.

Your manuscript

Your manuscript is used only to create your package. It is not used to train AI models, it is not shared with other customers, and it is not sold or licensed to anyone.

What else we store

We do not store payment card details. Payments are processed by Stripe, which handles card data directly under its own terms.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors to run the service: Cloudflare (hosting, database, and file storage), Anthropic (content generation), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and Google Drive (package delivery to the folder shared with you).

Access without a password

The Book Engine has no customer passwords. You receive a private link by email that opens your intake and, later, your delivery portal. Treat that link as you would a password — anyone who has it can see your package.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Deletion of your manuscript and package data is honoured within 30 days; order records may be retained where required for tax and accounting.
