These terms cover the purchase and delivery of a Book Engine content package.
What you're buying
A one-time content package produced from the manuscript you upload: the content families you select at intake, plus your atom database, voice profile, and brand kit. The package is generated by our private engine and reviewed by a human before delivery.
Delivery
Packages are completed within 3–7 days of manuscript upload. Many are ready sooner. Because every package is reviewed by hand, we do not promise same-day or instant delivery, and during private beta we cap the number of packages in production at any one time.
Delivery is made to a Google Drive folder shared with the email address you give at intake, and to a private link in your delivery portal.
Your rights in the work
You keep all rights in your manuscript. You own the content package we produce from it, and you may publish, adapt, edit, and sell it without restriction or attribution to us. We keep no licence to your book beyond what is needed to produce and deliver your package.
What you're responsible for
- That you hold the rights to the manuscript you upload.
- Reading the delivered material before you publish it. Human review catches a great deal, but you are the author of record and the final check on anything published in your name.
- Anything you add or change after delivery.
What we're responsible for
Producing the package described above, generated only from your manuscript, reviewed before delivery, in your voice and your selected brand system. Where a claim, figure, or quotation cannot be traced back to your pages, it is flagged and resolved in review rather than invented.
Limits
The service is provided as described here. Our total liability for any claim relating to a package is limited to the amount you paid for it. We can't be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including anything arising from how you use or publish the material after delivery.
Changes and cancellation
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published when you order. If we cannot complete your package, we will tell you and refund you in full.
